Eight states will receive funding to collect data on enrollment and retention of uninsured children in federal coverage programs, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has announced.

The four-year, $15 million grant initiative aims to use the data to broaden access to Medicaid and State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to eligible uninsured children and assess the effectiveness of the public coverage programs.
