Enrollment

The Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) recently released a bulletin on Essential Health Benefits (EHBs) under the Affordable Care Act.

The bulletin provides a list of the products with the three largest enrollments in the small goup market in each State using data from HealthCare.gov. With that, it also looks at the three largest products in each State ranked by enrollment.  In addition, to better understand the intended approach of EHBs, CCIIO also provides a list of the top three nationally available Federal Employee Health Benefit Program (FEHBP) plans based on enrollment.

With that, the HHS issued a list of FAQs to provide additional guidance on HHS's intended approach to defining Essential Health Benefits.  The FAQs contains further information about the process of selecting and updating a benchmark, States’ responsibility with respect to State-mandated benefits, the application of benchmarks to plans that have enrollees in multiple states, and many other items.
