Improving Health Literacy for Vulnerable Populations: Fact Sheets from the Center for Health Care Strategies

 The Center for Health Care Strategies released a series of health literacy fact sheets made possible through support from Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit.  The new series of fact sheets were created to help clinicians, patient advocates, and other stakeholders improve care for individuals with low health literacy.  The series of fact sheets:

• Define health literacy
• Describe ways to identify low health literacy
• Provide strategies to improve print and oral communication for patients with low literacy
• Provide information about the intersection of health literacy and culture 
• Highlight key policies relating to health literacy
