Opportunities for Coordinating Health Care and Human Services Enrollment under the Affordable Care Act

On January 9th, the National Governors Association (NGA) hosted the Webinar "Opportunities for Coordinating Health Care and Human Services Enrollment under the Affordable Care Act." 

During this webinar, the speakers took a closer look at how to connect health coverage applicants to human services programs through "horizontal intergration" and concluded that the ACA offers opportunities and risks for human services programs and their clients.  With that, the speakers concluded that to realize these opportunities and reduce risks, human services officials need to be engaged with ACA implementation in the new tearm at both the state and federal levels.
